We all know about the family curry. She is a strong woman & yet she admits she feels insecure sometimes because Stephen Curry gets a lot of attention from other women and for that people coming at her. That’s just wrong.

This is my experience in the same lifestyle as well:

In my time with Dominic I have been struggling with this topic as well & still do. While it is all about him wherever we go, it doesn’t matter if it is during or off-season, I feel like I live in his shadow & I admit that I am too, sometimes insecure.

Living in a different country & no one really cares about you, hits you deep in your self esteem.
The club or the fans don’t care about you. I don’t play for them so why should they?
After games you see fans waiting outside for the players & you just stand there waiting for your man to come out.

When Dominic comes out I can feel the looks from the people & it makes me uncomfortable. Especially when random girls eyeing you.

I rarely get dressed for his games.

We all feel like we have to compete against each other and that is so lame.

Dominic certainly gets a lot of attention from women. He is a friendly person, so he smiles a lot & chats with everybody & I think some girls get confused by it & think; Oh hey! He is flirting with me. But no, that’s the way he is.

While I’m here with no attention from the ‘outside’ world. It gets to me for sure, But talking to Dominic helped me. I am not seeking attention from some other men but we all have to admit it feels good to be acknowledged by the other gender. But this doesn’t mean you have to flirt or exchange numbers or whatever.

I compare myself to other woman, no question, but I have to remind myself that everyone is different & has his pros & cons.

I tried & try to increase my self esteem by working out. I always focus on my body because obviously this is the first thing you see. I still feel uncomfortable with the extra weight I carry around.

Dominic is a public figure & he has his circle in Portland (that’s where we are at for the most of the summertime.)
He knows how I feel & he understands where I am coming from but there is not much he can do. Of course he can make me feel good & show me his love but he can’t do that 24/7 haha

Slowly I was able to have a few friends in Portland too (see it was up to me to make a change not him).

Now I am kind of used to this lifestyle & I am occupied with Ava anyways.

The funny thing is, when Dominic & I are walking around he tells me that he walks behind me on purpose sometimes to see the other guys reaction to me. He catches them looking at me but I don’t recognize it at all.

I have the feeling nowadays people don’t respect relationships anymore. They don’t care if the person is in a relationship because they are being selfish & think about themselves. As long as they get what they want why should they bother if the person cheats on their partner? They don’t get hurt. It is up to the person in a relationship not to get in these kind of situations in the first place.

To all my ladies out there, this is my advice to you:
It is ok to feel insecure sometimes but don’t let it affect your life! Talk about it, think about it & try to change it. Try to think about a way that makes you feel better. Yes your partner can help you become more comfortable with yourself but at the end it’s on you.
That is what I am trying to teach Ava as well.
